Common Heritage

Human nature is much the same all over the world, and in all times. We find the same rivalry and claim of ”the only real thing” existing today, both in the case of the rival Voodoo doctors of Africa and the polished leaders of the fashionable metaphysical cults of America – and among all who come in between these two poles.

Alas for these claimers of a monopoly of one of Nature’s great forces – these people who make cures in spite of their theories, rather than because of them! Nature’s great recuperative force is as free as air and sunshine, and may be used by anyone who cares to do so. It is not owned or controlled by any person, cult or school – and no particular form of religious belief is necessary to one in order that he may obtain benefit from it.

God’s creations amuse themselves with many forms, sects, and creeds, but He knows them all as his creations and smiles at their childish desires to form themselves into cliques of “chosen people,” attempting to shut out their brethren from the common heritage.

Entropy Rocks!

Those who profess to favor freedom and yet depreciate agitation, are people who want crops without ploughing the ground; they want rain without thunder and lightning; they want the ocean without the roar of its many waters. The struggle may be a moral one, or it may be a physical one, or it may be both. But it must be a struggle. Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will.

This Memory of Eden

-This memory of Eden haunts us all-
Desert Rose by Sting

Tears For Water

The pile of plastic bottles of drinking and mineral water in my bedroom reminds me of the precious liquid. The One Diva Liquid. Nothing makes me realize its importance more than being here in Bangalore. Special tanks of drinking water are daily delivered, filters are normal machines to have at home, the faucet water is only used once thoroughly boiled and filtered and is aimed for chores.

-"Don't flush away unless it's the second commission or too much pee."

-"Why don't you take a quick shower, scrub thoroughly, then rinse even quicker? You won't waste water this way."

And yet, other people in other places are wasting it in extravagant quantities and ways. Three years ago, I was a bit appalled by a water party students hosted for the end of the year. Now, the mere thought of showering fills me with guilt: How I long for a warm bathroom, buckets of hot and cold water and only a little bucket to pour carefully the liquid to bathe.

I hope that one day, humankind won’t end up collecting moisture, pee and sweat just to get to have water. I hope one day, water won’t replace money or gold. I hope that one day, people will stop saying silly things such as “water tastes boring”, “I hate water, I’d rather have beer”,..etc

Honestly, such sentences fill me with a despising  judgmental state of mind and I choose to forget that people may merely be joking or victims of other victims.

This is no joking matter for me and eventhough most people are victims in this world, this is no reason to drag such a pure thing as water into the vicious circle of victimization.

Oh My God

I found this old picture on my hard.

Endurer Master Sasuke!

Oh my god, it's been AGES since I used my Yu-Gi-Oh deck! I don't even know where it is now. This was my favorite card and I built my deck all around that mummified ninja.

Still, I like him very much. In fact, now that I think about it, no wonder I choose sealmaster and tank in MMORPGs.

Eternal Tea Party

I had a dream some nights ago back when I was still in Morocco: it was a giant tea party and I was hosting a great bunch of my friends. I still remember pretty much what every person was doing. But I will never forget my opening and ending lines in that dream.

-"Welcome to my head, the endless tea party where you get to be the Alice and I get to serve you tea, tea, tea, tea, tea, tea, tea, tea…..FOREVER!"

-"God, high five me."

It was the first time I've ever dreamed myself eating or drinking something: in this dream, I was drinking tea -of course.

At Nawab Restaurant

I have been out for dinner with one of my bosses and his family. The boss and his family are wonderful people that don't get bored from sharing Ganesha and Hanuman stories with me.

I'm incredibly thankful for that wonderful evening, sir. May you always be blessed, you and your lovely family.

What About Starks?

-"What about them?"

My Spanish roomate doesn't get it that I despise Game of Thrones series.

-"Starks are noble and you like noble characters. And Lannisters are very fucked up and you like fucked up things, and they have dragons and a powerful female characters..."

That's a minimalistic way to put things, dude.

-"Miguel, you didn't grow up having Atreides in your life obviously. And Lannisters, except Tyrion, lack the whole grace of Harkonnens."

I've read that series' first two books and tried to go through the third one valiantly: I just can't but I did anyway and read the whole published bunch but I'm too ashamed of that so please don't mention it and besides it was the case for a shitload of books as well*. It seems as if someone tried to digest LoTR but couldn't, puked the whole thing in a raw fashion and decided to add some boobs, sex and random kills here and there to make it edible. Dude....

I'm an Atreides!

*FYI: If I despise something AND don't read it over, I don't consider myself having read it and I don't talk about it. I don't like spreading ideas I don't support through positive or negative discussion.

Your star didn't abandon you

FF VII is forever.

Hysteria Mode

Unlike Alice with a vorpal blade, I'm having my hysteria mode with the Smith's Machine.

Like Alice however, it doesn't last long enough to clear the stage.

Final Freak VII

CG season 1 is cleared. Final Fantasy VII has yet been taking all my time since then.

Joking: I take all Final Fantasy VII's time.

Life..

A reminder for when people talk about what they encountered and keep quiet or look for pathetic justifications when they're asked how they handled it.

Alice Madness Returns

Honestly, who wants to be a Disney's Princess when you can be McGee's Alice?

On Motivation

This is true and clever.

Gambling yourself away is beyond any religion

Love is reckless, not reason
Reason seeks a profit
Love comes on strong, consuming itself, unabashed.

Yet in the midst of suffering,
Love proceeds like a milestone
hard surfaced and straightforward

Having died to self-interest
it risks everything and asks for nothing
Love gambles away every gift God bestows.

Without cause God gave us Being;
Without cause, give it back again.
Gambling yourself away is beyond any religion.

Religion seeks grace and favor,
but those who gamble these away are God's favorites
for they neither put God to the test
nor knock at the door of gain and loss.

God Emperor Leto

All Hail Leto Atreides II.

I have a confession to make: I do have a favorite among the DUNE cast. I will not further my shameful confession with a name.

X on my desktop

I found an old creation of mine. It's my desktop now.

I'm starting to have X reading urge. That wouldn't be reasonablewith the connection's fees.

Besides, I'm still not through with Code Geass, not even the first season.

Finally, why do I easily get triggered? I should try to discipline my impressiveness.
