A Velvet mood of music

1/26/18

Last Fall was tough. It was also the first time I ever understood the lyrics of Linkin Park's music.

I also finally understood what people meant when they said that Chester poured himself into his music.

I couldn't believe I had been this deaf, I was lacking this understanding. But I understood it, I embraced it and I accepted it. I grew out of it, I grew from it.

Chester, I think of you and pray for you and feel for you fondly. As a fellow human being, I can't help but hope your legacy will be honored, and for your loss, some won't be thanks to you.

That one friend Wichita has brought me

And for the moments we get to spend together, I'm grateful.

As a new semester begins

...I start the final milestone to my thesis.

And this reminds me of the final days of my first Masters.

Gosh, to think 2012 defense was achieved through kittens and friendships and support and help and an amazing amount of kinship and love...

This makes this one pretty dreary. Oh well, one thing is still the same

Lately

Pitbulls have been rocking my life of late again. This puppy needs to put some weight and age for spaying. I had his darling mother before.
Early mornings are for slow breakfasts and dancing with dogs to pop music, then chilling on the couch while cuddling with them and browsing the news to Hirasawa's tunes.

The comfort 2017 brought me was meeting with half of my musical raison d'etre.

I saw Nobuo Uematsu. I attended the concert. I got a picture. I looked at him in the eyes. I still have extreme mixed emotions about this encounter.

I will do the same with the master, and then I will be ready than ever to take the Leap.
