Pst: Thank you

TJ was my rock today: Yesterday, I landed in Morocco and today I've been on an apartment hunt. He helped me through it despite of his tight schedule.

I HAVE A LANDLORD NOW!

6/26/13

Bless that boy!

I hope I won't have time to miss N. -he's coming to Morocco during summer.

We went at an indian restaurant for my last day in Montréal. It was sunny, the food was awesome, N. even liked his vegetables enough to eat them.

I thought of India and it was an emotional roller coaster for five minutes then I snapped out of it because it was my last day with a dear friend. Bless the boy.

Nerdy geeky shirts + unfathomable expression = N.'s appearance

And on the unfathomable point, he IS. Hey N. I'm coming at 6h00 a.m. Hey dude, a meat diet isn't healthy for your bowels. Hey N. I need boundaries. Buddy are you really okay or just plain okay with that?

N. do embarassed.
Do emotional.
Do hurt.
Do happy.
Do annoyed.
Do bored.

Honest to God, I only know the laughing expression and it's a fascinating thing to see someone with the same expression through talks, walks, food, movies, TV shows, skype sessions, net surfing, shopping, gift shopping, socializing. It only changes when he's heartedly laughing. It's fascinating I'm telling you, specially for someone who can't keep her face from following the train of her thoughts erf.

I don't want to miss you buddy. See you in August and thank you for the incredibly entertaining and widely tolerant hosting. I pray for you to be happy.

Although he's one of the three boys of my life that I strongly believe they have an easy straight shot at being happy.

Mais l'amour infini me montera dans l'âme ;

Les parfums ne font pas frissonner sa narine ;
Il dort dans le soleil, la main sur sa poitrine,
Tranquille. Il a deux trous rouges au côté droit.

N. Strikes Again

The guy keeps on mezmerizing my taste in food. I honestly think N. is the one guy that can cook delicious stuff, the best stuff a guy ever cooked and I actually enjoyed - except my dad and uncles but then again, just talking about friends.

The pièce de résistance, the jewel of the collection, the penultimate experience, the ONE to rule them dishes is the lemon cake. I haven't tasted such an addictive cake for so long and I haven't eaten such a lemon cake in my life. I'm not generous with my compliments since I don't even say compliments, but the fact that I spent every food moment during three days eating this cake can say something.

I think, as it was the case with Nanou's mom, it's because of the thoughts the cook puts into food. And big N.'s big head doesn't go wrong, at least while making food. Bless the boy!

So yeah, food and anime marathons while talking talking talking talking! It turned out Montréal CAN GET more awesome!

In The Secret Room

Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind on rewatch.

We talked about our mutual admiration of Miyazaki's works, senseï and I. His favorite one is My Neighbor Totoro. Mine is Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind.

Senseï says we will watch Nausicaä or Whisper of the Heart during a lesson, Japanese with English subtitles.

I'm looking forward to that. Thank you senseï.

Once again, how can a senseï rock more? I give my immediate total seal of approval to people who nurture love towards FF VII or Miyazakis.

Man of Steel

Thanks to N., I had my first IMAX 3D experience with Man of Steel. We ended up thinking that if Chris Nolan was directing this movie, it could have turned better. But we found out he was indeed directing this one and we laughed about it.

Stupid scenarios, just like Thor's one and so on and on and on. At least Avengers was making up for the big ugly holes it had in its scenarios, what does Man of Steel offer?

Oh! IMAX 3D FIRST EXPERIENCE YEEEY!

Be Gentle.

erf.

Today at work, around breakfast, my second tutor:

-"You're very intense, you realize that, do you?"
-"I don't exactly know what it means in your head."

I remember that during high school, my favorite translation teacher told me I have a tendancy to take everything at heart. I begged to differ by then because nobody was able to establish the consistent presence of a Koroonful heart. I wonder if this is what he was speaking about however.

-"Well, I might be off I don't know, but care for one advice?"
-"Well you gave me your own insight of me without asking for permission, don't bother now."
-"Be gentle. People like you should be extremely gentle."

To think that I was merely speaking about Nausicaä by then. I wonder what he would have told me if it was Final Fantasy VII, or Haruki, or Cthulhu, or Hawking, or Mechanics or...Oh well. Even Nausicaä holds her weight so..

Stay gold Ponnyboy

Reading The Outsiders over again. When I'm not working, hanging out/studying at senseï's, hanging out at N.'s or going out with work colleagues of course.

Therefore, I thought the book along with Twig's trilogy might last during my whole stay in Canada but...

Oh well, nothing stays gold said Frost, and with me, it happens quickly.

Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
---- Robert Frost

Introducing senseï

I think it's about time I write about a man I spend so many hours with every week.

Can my senseï rock more?

DUH! In fact, he does during our japanese lessons and long conversations. I adore this man to bits and just hope he will find everything he hopes for and acquire inner peace. He deserves so much goodness.

For now, senseï teaches in his japanese inspired office but I think he can teach using Skype as well. I hope someday he will bring his teaching to the next level.

Slam Dunk when he doesn't dunk

..Or more plainly when he doesn't score with the girl.

I'm on a Slam Dunk marathon with N. and as the episodes go, I find myself faceplaming often and wondering if this is TRULY a shonen. I mean...by this point...Come on!

N. keeps saying that it's the case for the 23 first episodes but afterwards it's going to be all about basketball. I just hope it's true because by the time we reach that faithful episode, if I hear Sakuragi moan over that girl once more, I swear I'm going to go on a killing spree on N.'s campus and murder every possible ball I meet my way.

No wonder when you try to look up for that guy on yahoo images, you get a bunch of unrequested eye candy intended for heterosexual guys!

The Call of Cthulhu

That is not dead which can eternal lie.
And with strange aeons even death may die.

-----Call of Cthulhu

With all the talking over Stephen King, his admiration of Lovecrat and Rowling, my admiration of all of them, I decided I wanted to go through Lovecraft again. N. doesn't want to for now: dude is busy with Game Of Thrones and as much as it irritates me that he's giving precious reading time to Martin's puke, at least he's reading and he's enjoying it and making some fellow read as well, fellows that I think didn't even go completely through the syllabus' books.

Epic meal time Clothing

Stupid N. ! I asked him to make an online payment for me -I can't do that- and he didn't want to be paid back. I would have felt deeply humiliated if it wasn't for this boy. I can take such crap from some people.

On a lighter note however, THANK YOU N.! Geez I FINALLY get to be a bit of a fangirl.

I mean I'm in freaking Canada, same place as Epic Meal Time and I'm intending to show it!

Trying to adjust the iPAD camera by myself.

 N. to the Rescue.

Next casual Friday at work, I'm so going with my Epic Meal Time T-shirt and hoodie. Can't I be proud of watching silly guys with too much time on their hands wasting away shitloads of yuky food making awesome terrifying greasy meaty monsters that they eat like savages?

Stephen King on Twilight, 50 Shades of Grey, Lovecraft and more

We spent the early evening watching this conference and discussing how awful Meyer's books are, how awesome Rowlings' are, how magnificent King is and how much I love Lovecraft and goddamn N. PLEASE DROP THE GOT AND GRAB THE LOVECRAFTS!

6/12/13

SHOPPING SPREE WEEE

I just bought me the WHOLE Dune collection!

I still can't believe it....It's like that day with the murakamis, only this time it's the Herberts!

I LOVE THE ATREIDES! I LOVE SANDWORMS! I LOVE THE SPICE AND I EVEN APPRECIATE THE HARKONNENS!

And this time, I will make SURE I'm taking them with me even if I have to leave my own laptop there. I'm serious.

6/6/13

Catterbird

Giving The Edge Chronicles - Twig's Trilogy - another marathon.

Everytime I read those series again is like the first time: the creatures never cease to amaze me. The illustrations and the events, the dynamics of the universe and the different factions as well.

Need to get back to reading, need to get back to reading, need to get back to reading, need to get back to reading.

Oh, catterbird! You magnificent creature!

6/5/13

Ready. Aim. Fire

I've been listening to this on the loop at work.

I'm not a special fan of Iron Man. I discovered Imagine  Dragons through their hit "Radioactive" and became addictive since then: those guys know their ways with words and have good tunes. This combination is getting hard to find in all the music popping today.

Overspecialization...

Awesome first week-end in MTL

This is my first week-end in Montréal. Saturday was sightseeing day and today, we went to an Asian restaurant. It was AMAZING!

But nothing beats N.'s brownies

N. organized afterwards a small party with Monopoly as the main activity. Suits me more than right specially that I don't get to shout if I want more ice cream and N.'s homemade incredible brownies: the guy REALLY cooks and he cooks well!

Thank you, N., for making this first week-end in Montréal this special. I honestly was just fine hanging with him for once and having a Yu-Gi-Oh! marathon but it was even more awesome. Does it get any better?
