Highlander

Old shows were awesome. I had many tv shows rituals with my dad. Sunday was the Highlander ritual.

Man it was so awesome, specially with such a powerful intro song.

Ftour Colleagues Edition

This guy is a close friend, not a colleague though.

The restaurant we were cordially invited to seems to be a tourist place. The tiny amounts of things proves it. Still, it was a nice place with a nice landscape, a nice simple quick time. It's always nice to grab ftour with people. I wonder if I will get to eat Ftour with people during everyday of Ramadan though.

A plate able to hold all the tiny portions of tiny things.

That's the average Moroccan ftoor table. LaManne people, how I appreciate you guys.

XD

They say it's no laughing matter but this coranic verse always cracks me up.

As soon as possible, I will have it developped and framed then put it in the entrance of Going Merry.

Oh! and this english translation is crappy as hell. It doesn't begin to convey the deep way the sentence was structured or the organic one the idea is portrayed with.

Oh Arabic I love you so much.

You CAN do something actually.

Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles take 2.

Because ain't no CLAMP absorbale with just ONE lecture, even the one reaping from all the other ones that I read a bit too much.

You're not alone if you have faith

And that yourself is a delightful human to hang out with. That's simple.

Wreck-It Ralph

It's been a while since I've seen such a good Disney&Pixar production. On rewatch today.

It doesn't matter if you play it nice

Lovecraft started writing those stories with no apparent if not a faint connection, a certain thematic or words that come back here and there, some similarities of events and some unintended hints. But I've never felt he actually did it on purpose. I don't see in my head Lovecraft sitting on a desk, elaborating this big entangled scheme where he gradually introduces his readers to the Aeons of his imagination. And I love him for that.

Here he is, writing different stories for magazines or amateur journalism. Then, it all seems to converge to a phenomenal dynamic of a universe that he didn't bother elaborate on. This too leaves a certain mystery and a mist of doubts and unknown that makes it still relevant and fascinating, which is the case of Final Fantasy VII except that Square Enix is trying its hard to milk this cow and sorry for bringing up this. Out of context.

You'd think that the punishment and the unknown will fall upon the Earth but Lovecraft made it crawl from within the ground, which was -and I believe it is still the case - a mindbreak. You look outside for the enemy and you don't bother checking within until it's too late or you get smart before.

 Dagon

Sadistic powerful insane and indifferent Aeons sleeping in the deep rotten insides of their shelters waiting for Cthulhu to rise from R'lyeh from his deep slumber and unleash them on mankind. The rare people who have witnessed a ray from the distant gruesome stars turn mad, get killed, disappear or kill themselves.

Digimon stuff

While settling in my new apartment - called Going Merry, N.'s curtesy -, I unpacked some mementos. Something from when I was 11 years-old, collecting stickers and whatnot, being a big fan of all the X-mon series.

This makes me itch for some pokemon/digimon retrogaming actually.

On that day, I would make a lot of silly decisions.

Mr. Nobody on rewatch.

-" One; I will never leave anything to chance again. Two; I will marry the girl on my motorcycle. Three; I'll be rich. Four; we'll have a house. A big house, painted yellow, with a garden. And two children, Paul and Michael. Five; I'll have a convertible. A red convertible! And a swimming pool, I'll learn to swim. Six; I will not stop until I succeed!"

The Mad Arabic Poet

Original title Al Azif—azif being the word used by Arabs to designate that nocturnal sound (made by insects) suppos’d to be the howling of daemons.

Composed by Abdul Alhazred, a mad poet of Sanaá, in Yemen, who is said to have flourished during the period of the Ommiade caliphs, circa 700 A.D.

He visited the ruins of Babylon and the subterranean secrets of Memphis and spent ten years alone in the great southern desert of Arabia—the Roba el Khaliyeh or “Empty Space” of the ancients—and “Dahna” or “Crimson” desert of the modern Arabs, which is held to be inhabited by protective evil spirits and monsters of death.

Of this desert many strange and unbelievable marvels are told by those who pretend to have penetrated it. In his last years Alhazred dwelt in Damascus, where the Necronomicon (Al Azif) was written, and of his final death or disappearance (738 A.D.) many terrible and conflicting things are told. He is said by Ebn Khallikan (12th cent. biographer) to have been seized by an invisible monster in broad daylight and devoured horribly before a large number of fright-frozen witnesses. Of his madness many things are told.

He claimed to have seen fabulous Irem, or City of Pillars, and to have found beneath the ruins of a certain nameless desert town the shocking annals and secrets of a race older than mankind. He was only an indifferent Moslem, worshipping unknown entities whom he called Yog-Sothoth and Cthulhu.
