I AM KING KONG

Yey! Destorm's album is out and this music is AWESOME! Turn the volume up and beat your chest.

Bob Dylan

I'm Not There on rewatch today:

I absolutely adore that Haruki is a fan as well, to the extent of mentioning him in his books.

besides, he gives an accurate perspective about one of the singer's aspects.

I can tell Bob Dylan in an instant," she said … "I really like his voice. It’s like a kid standing at the window watching the rain.

Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World

Martyrs

On rewatch.
Not a great movie in the disturbing-gore-horror sections but I found the old DVD while looking for my Ghiblis. The irony.

The world is full of beauty

Gummo on rewatch.
I need a reminder of how beautiful the world can be, how magnificent humankind might be as well.
KIDS was my first Korine, but Gummo is my favourite one. In fact, everytime we speak about favourite movies, Gummo is always the first one coming to my mind.

I insanely remember when I first watched it, how it opened up an ocean of new perspectives and ideas for me, how I felt afterwards towards things.

Korine, Gummo, magnificent, just magnificent.

Friend Zone

I particularly like this song because Benatar gets to use more of his voice. Your Favourite Martian rocks otherwise, except when it's just about covers. erf.

Why do all good things on Youtube come to an end?

Stever Jobs vs Bill Gates

I was looking forward for this ERB. But the ending was SPECTACULAR.

HAL FTW.

A fucked-up thing to remember

I don't know if by those times, other countries were as plagued with the Venezuala/Mexico soap operas but boy oh boy it was so long, fucked up, twisted and whatever that I cannot believe my brain would actually play such a dirty trick and bring those few times I actually cared for some soap operas to the surface.

erf.

Bombs Over Redline

Nothing sends my energy levels to a radioactive spree like a great AMV. Hereticked might be the Nostromo of no effects.

5 centimeters per second

On rewatch.

-"Yesterday, I had a dream..."
-"A dream of long ago..."
-"Within the dream, we were thirteen years old..."
-"And we were standing in a field covered with snow..."
-"We're in a dimlight from distance houses..."
-"Our footsteps was all that could be seen on the new fallen snow..."
-"And because of that, we both believed without any doubt.."
-"Someday, together, we would watch the cherry blossoms fall again.."
-"..Again..."

I can't believe it!

Sometimes, I stumble into something from my early days and feel choked that I could have forgotten something that was and is still this dear to me, something that was so inspiring and constructing.

I stumbled upon one of the very early websites that I used to check, more than ten years ago, about Yoko Tsuno. I love this character and Roger Leloup's french comics so much. I adored his stories and I still keep many pictures of Yoko's albums within my Freeboo -Friendship Box-

My god. Why do I forget stuff like that?

Writing is Madness

On Rewatch today: Strange Circus.

While at it, writing DOES THAT to you indeed, maybe on some different fashion but the idea is the same and it applies on every writer in some way or another, which reminds me I should probably stop stressing over the fact that my characters seem all to be asexual creatures and picking on my face for the hell of it.
